I bought a car to drive to work and drove to work to pay for my car. When I paid off my car I bought a television, which convinced me to buy more stuff, and eventually I bought so much stuff I had to move to a house to put it all in. I bought some houseplants for my house because the television told me to. The houseplants died because I didn't go to my house often enough since I had to work more to pay for the house to put my houseplants and television in. Ergo, capitalism is bad for the environment. Get it now? Buy Nothing Holidays. We triple-dog-dare you.
